About six years in the past, I visited my in-laws’ shore home for the primary time. They had simply accomplished renovations on their Avalon property, and we have been all spending our first weekend collectively on the new summer season spot.

When I walked into the home, I marveled on the crisp, trendy by-the-beach furnishings, taking within the splashes of rattan, the impartial woven space rugs, the omnipresent white seating, and the daring blue of the pool lounge chairs. Now this is a seaside home, I assumed to myself.

I realized the vast majority of the furnishings was from Serena & Lily, a model I had by no means heard of, however shortly (in a short time) got here to know, as my now mother-in-law has a critical knack for inside design. The luxe inside model makes a speciality of “polished coastal aesthetic,” which mainly means their furnishings, bedding, rugs, wallpaper, and decor all give off a refined, but relaxed beachy vibe.

Despite having been in enterprise since 2003, the California-founded firm has by no means had a design store near Philly. (Serena & Lily lovers, together with my MIL, have needed to trek as much as Summit, New Jersey — an virtually two-hour drive from town.) But that modified this previous Sunday, due to the opening of the model’s first Philly-area location!

We visited the Haverford retailer, which is tremendous dreamy. Check out the shore home inspo beneath.
