The males’s annual fishing journey took a daunting flip in Coral Bay when the three-metre predator tried to swallow their boat’s propeller.
Captain Matt Zen mentioned by no means in his “wildest dreams” did he count on a large shark to take a chunk of his boat.
“He took a liking to the engine and he hung on there for a good few minutes,” Zen mentioned.
“We started to get a bit worried about how we were going to get him off.”
Another Fever Fishing constitution man, Jarryd England, mentioned the beast’s jaw “inhaled the entire propeller”.
“And that’s a big engine,” he mentioned.
All up, the terrifying boat chunk lasted 5 minutes earlier than the predator swam off – fishermen, shark and motor unhurt.
