Holy City Brewing companions with Pusser’s Rum for ‘painkiller’ beer

Holy City Brewing and Pusser’s Rum teamed as much as launch a Painkiller cocktail-inspired 16 ounce Belgian whitbier. The well-known cocktail is made with pineapple and orange juice, cream of coconut, Pusser’s Rum and topped with freshly grated nutmeg. 

The cocktail and rum originated from the British Virgin Islands, however discovered its method to North Charleston for an thrilling team-up. 

“We’re not far from Holy City Brewery, so we’re always here for lunch or meeting up with friends on the weekends to enjoy the wide variety of brews on tap,” stated Dean Cowart, who oversees advertising and retail for Pusser’s. “We’re beyond excited to be working with Chris and the Holy City team who, like us, are all about local partnerships and helping each other out.”

The beer will probably be bought in a 16-ounce can, with 5.2% ABV at Holy City Brewing. Holy City may even supply a frozen model of the Painkiller cocktail on the inside restaurant and newly renovated “Cabana Bar.”

“We know everyone is going to love the frozen Painkiller’s and the new twist on a Belgian whitbier – it’s going to be a real gamechanger!” stated Cowart.

Holy City Brewing is situated at 1021 Aragon Ave. and open Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and closes at 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
