One Londoner took to Reddit to vent their frustration saying: “You know what actually rustles my jimmies? Folks not taking their backpacks off on a packed tube practice. 

“On the Victoria line yesterday my shoulder was used as a perch by some guy for his backpack, and every time the train pulled away from the platform it squished my face. Put it between your feet, folks!”

The thread quickly exploded with comments from Londoners who also started sharing their pet peeves. One person wrote: “Pre-covid there was a guy that would get on the jubilee line at canary wharf with his electric scooter and a backpack on, he would never fold the scooter and never remove his backpack.

“He took up so much space, at rush hour. One day an older gentleman absolutely lost it at him, it was glorious. Screw you scooter backpack guy!”

Another person added: “Also there’s still way too many people who think their bag requires a seat of its own, and don’t seem to notice people standing around who would like that seat.”

Meanwhile, others took to listing similarly annoying behaviour: “One that really kills me is when people lean against the centre pole so that no one else can hold on to it.”

Another wrote: “Furthermore, if you are by the doors, or are in any way blocking people further in the carriage trying to exit when it’s busy and packed, just pop out. It will make exits and entrances for fellow passengers SO MUCH EASIER!”
