PROVIDENCE (AP) — A nurse on the Providence VA Medical Center has admitted that he eliminated liquid opioids from vials on the hospital for his personal private use and stuffed the vials again up with saline.

Thirty-five-year-old Jared Scott, of West Warwick, pleaded responsible Friday in federal court docket to costs of tampering with a shopper product and buying a managed substance by deception and subterfuge. The two costs carry a mixed complete of 14 years in jail upon conviction.

Scott advised the choose he accessed vials meant for sufferers in a locked storage cart on a number of events in 2017 in October and November.

His sentencing is scheduled for April 5.
