Soccer recruiting: Xzavier McLeod releases prime 10 faculties

South Carolina made the highest 10 for coveted in-state lineman Xzavier McLeod.

The Camden junior defensive lineman launched his closing 10 faculties on Friday. In addition to the Gamecocks, the opposite faculties on the checklist had been Auburn, Michigan, Georgia, Alabama, Oregon, LSU, Florida State, Michigan and Oklahoma.

The 6-foot-4, 324-pound McLeod is the third-ranked prospect within the state and ranked No. 171 nationally for Class of 2023 by 247Sports Composite.

South Carolina provided McLeod as a freshman and have been recruiting closely since even after the teaching change from Will Muschamp to Shane Beamer. He has visited the campus a number of occasions together with final month for spring apply.

“I was glad to get to visit South Carolina again,” McLeod informed Phil Kornblut “I was watching Coach Lindsey teach his defensive linemen different drills. Most of the drills that he does we do in practice, so I’m really familiar with what they are doing.”

McLeod has been busy over the previous few months with school visits. He has visited Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and LSU. He plans to return to Georgia subsequent week throughout his Spring Break.

McLeod had 58 tackles, 5 sacks and team-high 21 quarterback pressures in serving to Camden to its second straight Class 3A championship look.
